thursday: we had a meeting with lex first thing thursday morning to design the flyers for "creative sensations!" the new series of workshops that are taking place in the workshop space in easter. we had a pub lunch and then finished off collecting materials and get sorted for friday's workshops.
friday: 9am set off for bellshill hilton, set up and ready to go by 11... but then they ran late. so, workshop one started at 11.30, workshop two 1.15. both workshops went really well- activities included blind drawing, scribble and pass it on, self-portraits, a unique drawing experience, and creating clay models... both groups enjoyed the experience and seemed to get alot out of it.
saturday: both workshops did a session with mags on the movement of all the characters in their stories. in the first group, karen and douglas went through the scripts and sounds with a few things still to finalise. second group was purely movement.
monday: in for an hour to speak to julie re placement, re essay. went well, just hope i can remember all the things we talked about...
tuesday: morning was spent collating materials and doing photocopies and creating packs for phylis and marias workshop on friday, did some research about what was going on at the art galleries and museums in the easter holidays so that the creative sensations workshops could tie in with that...
wednesday: stanecastle- mags led the kids in becoming pirates, with directions like scrub the deks and splice the mainbrace. both groups enjoyed this although group one were much better behaved and more into it at the moment... next week both groups will work together and hopefully inigo can film it. aiming to get a couple more sessions with them to finish up the theme.
HAC- jenny created some more amazing felt with the group, this time onto scrim...
maria and i had a chat about how we visualised the project looking, in preperation for the planning meeting today.
